Social media marketing

Kangaroo Island Oats was founded by two master mariners in early 2018. Their mission is to create an exceptionally high quality oat from the pristine and green environment of Kangaroo Island. Two types of oats are Rolled and Quick Oats, available across Australia.

Their vision is to share a wholesome bowl of oats with the world, and focusing on giving back to the community through nutritious, wholesome food.

Social media strategy

The marketing and brand strategy developed by Fig Tree Digital recommended the benefits of engaging with Australian consumers prior to the product release.

With a newly designed brand logo, Fig Tree Digital commenced social media to communicate the brand proposition and product offering.

The objectives established were to generate customer interest and engagement through social media. It helped us to generate leads for retail distribution through supermarkets and health food stores and wholesale channels within cafes and restaurants.

Social Community Management

With a new brand and new product offering, we started from the ground up to build brand reputation, social media growth and product awareness.

Fig Tree Digital managed the social community and generated interest and engagement from local islanders, the South Australian community and target audiences.

Growing An Oat Community

Over 26,000 impressions generated with organic content over 8 month period prior to product launch.

With no advertising spend, Fig Tree established a social media strategy, managed the social media community and grew the community with an engagement average rate of 72% and generated 26 retail and wholesale leads ready for product release.

Organic posts and stories in Facebook and Instagram generated the results with a focus on communicating the brand’s point of difference, the health benefits of Kowari Oats, quality design artwork alongside food and local Kangaroo Island photography.

Kangaroo Island Oats are not only high-quality product but also delicious. Fig Tree Digital created social media food photography from mouth-watering pancakes to the perfect Anzac biscuit to go with afternoon tea. The creation of recipes, styled and photographed food looked impressive and extended the brand direction for Kangaroo Island Oats.

Calm shades of blues, creams, and whites were the main colour scheme for the photography to align with the overall brand design.
